Masquerade has been Syracuse's only independent, locally owned costumer;
dedicated to ensuring a wide selection of costumes. Named "Syracuse's
Best Halloween Store" by the Syracuse New Times, we are the place to
shop for costumes, wigs, cinematic makeup, special effects makeup, hats,
and costume accessories in Central New York. -- Dougherty's Masquerade is Central New York's oldest, largest, and most complete costumer; we're open all year. We have a complete selection of costumes for rent or purchase, as well as wigs, hats, gloves, masks, hosiery, accessories, props, performance and SFX makeup, SFX contact lenses, and much more! Since 1974, Dougherty's has been a locally owned and operated, family run business. We are not a franchise, a chain, or a corporation; we are independent, and local to Central New York. Our motto, "Be yourself. Be someone else. Be who you want to be.,", expresses our mission to carry a broad selection of unique items. Not only do we carry costumes, but unique clothing lines, corsets, and accessories as well. Whether you have a unique sense of style and are looking for a way to express yourself; if you want to dress as a character or personae,, or if you want to be someone else for a little while- we have what you need. Our motto centers around our belief that everyone is a unique individual, and we welcome all walks of life to our store for a unique shopping experience. Many of our customers ask us if we have an online store they can shop.... While we are currently working on a website for some of our sale items, we will continue to carry products in our store which will not be available online, nor rental costumes.... Our store is a unique shopping experience that we simply can't emulate with an online store. |
